Now, if the early sunrise is waking you up or you're having a problem with the midday glare ruining your nap, unlike perforated shades, this one's gonna block nearly all of the light. So you're gonna be able to sleep in, watch a movie, or just enjoy a break from the sun and you're not gonna have to worry about squinting inside of your RV or camper with this installed in place. Now, this shade is made to fit standard 22 inch by 30 inch Skylights with edge-to-edge coverage, and you're not gonna have to worry about awkward gaps or flooding lights sneak through or anything like that. So when you have this closed, this is indeed going to be closed.
So it's gonna do a great job of blocking out that light. So this is gonna be really easy to operate, as you can see, and you're not gonna have to worry about struggling to get this open or closed. RVs are great for adventure, but no one likes feeling like they're being baked underneath the Skylight. This shade does use Duo Heat Shielding Technology. So this is going to reflect heat and light away, keeping your RV cooler when the sun is beating down.

This product does not live up to its description (or its price). The material is a thin, gray, singly ply, translucent fabric that blocks at best 50% of the light and very little heat. There is no heat reflective material or light blocking material on either side of the shade. My infrared heat gun measured a negligible heat reduction of 8 degrees (133 to 125) at the skylight. I will probably have to put another reflective shade above this one. I thought maybe I received the wrong product, so I contacted SR customer service and was told that's the way they are with no explanation for the inaccurate description. Needless to say, this product does not deserve positive rating.

Sorry to hear it isn't working as well as you hoped, Rod. This is a new part for us and I will admit to not having any experience with it yet. I will give your feedback to Specialty Recreation as well (hopefully they listen to us more intently). What did you install this in?
